I just received a call from SM Open Space Management. She said that they met with the City Attorney and Risk Management on Monday, and they determined that "because we had obtained permission to to do this before, and there had been so few injuries, we should be allowed to continue to set up lines."

However, there are 3 caveats which we must follow if we want to KEEP our permission. She asked that I get the word out on these points:

  1. Don't leave your lines unattended, where some tourist may run into it, or try it without a spot and hurt themselves.
  2. Remove them at the end of the day.
  3. Slacklines and ropes are the ONLY attachment we have permission for. NO SILKS or other circus equipment may be set up without additional permission.

Pretty mellow caveats, no? And, just in time for the first long daylight-savings Sunday of the year. Woo-hoo!

    Happy walking everyone ~Jess
